In August 2015, Southern Habitat was awarded the contract to provide landscaping works for the Blue Mile’s Stage 2 Heritage Walk at Flagstaff Hill. These works form part of Wollongong City Council’s major foreshore improvement works between Stuart Park and Wollongong Harbour.
Working alongside head contractor Select Civil, our works involved planting, mulching and installing topsoil to the top of the harbour’s heritage sandstone retaining wall.

In addition to being a high profile location, specialised staff were required to possess appropriate qualifications for working at heights and be able to correctly observe and implement safe work methods including wearing harnesses etc.
