Construction of the shared bridge was one of the first infrastructure projects implemented by Wollongong City Council as part of its development of the Grand Pacific Walk. This section of the Walk was challenging, with steep and sometimes unstable land, narrow roads and a lack of provisions for pedestrians and cyclists. Southern Habitat worked alongside Fernandes Constructions to successfully deliver this high profile project within tight deadlines.
